Friendly URLS

I'm interested to know who is using these? 

I run a podcast so it is good to be able to easily link to a certain page on the forum by saying the address and having it easy to remember.

I would love an easier way to set up friendly URLs.  Is there a way to do this on the page?  So someone with the right permissions could just change the url?  has anyone made a plug-in for this?

There is no way to do this from the public UI but you can do this pretty easily from the ACP. Just search in the menu bar for "friendly" and click on Customize Friendly URLs. 

 

I've used these to create some friendly URLs to access specific forums. Like mydomain.com/games/NAME would bring them to the board URL of the specific game.
