Lori Nelson
I want to create a resource library where each resource (which would be a link, pdf, image, or video) would have its own entry with tags or keywords. Users can search the library. What's the best application to build this in? Should I make it a section in the forum? Should I make them individual blog entries? opentype
Yes. Create a new database and add the necessary fields which then hold your content as part of the record. There are link fields, upload fields and many more. You can also you categories to structure your content by whatever is appropriate – topic or also type, i.e. all PDF uploads are one category for example. Keywords, likes, reviews, comments … it’s all there if you want to activate it.
Joel R
IP.Downloads can also be used as a prebuilt resource manager. It includes a description, upload fields, tags, categories and versioning. IP.Pages is far more flexible and powerful but you will need to create your database and templates from scratch.
