Search returns nothing after upgrade

Hello ! ^_^

Regarding search, I used Sphinx on my board when it was version 3.4. Now that I've upgraded to version 4.1.8. search returns nothing (no results)...

Do you have an idea why ?

Are any background tasks running? Could you please try to rebuild your search index ( ACP => System => Search )

Hello ! ^_^

Yes, I've setup a cron for the tasks and content rebuilding and it is running.

I then clicked on "Rebuild search index" in the ACP and made sure "All" is checked for the content to include.

Do I have to wait some time to have the search engine fully working ? I made a test on one word and the search first returned 4 results, then 6, then 7... (but for this word, there should be thousands...).

Yes, the search index is now being populated with your content by the index rebuild background task. On each run new content is being inserted into the index, that's why the results count is increasing
