Store images in database

Featured Replies

It seems I am running out of space on my server.  I have almost 7GB of attachments.  I just clicked save to database, now the site is unusable.  I presume this will resolve as soon as the files are moved?  Any idea how long this could take to move 7GB?  Any way to speed it up?

I was able to find a link in the text that said run now.  It seems the files are now moving.  Phew

OK, the database option seems to be pretty bad too.  It seems like images take a lot longer to display.  I think I'll let them finish moving, then move them back.

Yes, file store on your server would be ideal. You may want to investigate the price point of adding more space to your current provider or maybe something like Amazon S3

I'd like to move them back, but they have been stuck all day at 51% in moving from file to database.  Whenever I try to run manually I get an error.

Did I break it?
