Despite best efforts I cannot find the way to remove the version display on the index page. There was an option to remove it in 3.4X is there in 4.1 ??

Version? From IPS4? It doesn't show the version anywhere on public side.

You probably installed this plugin:

If that's the case, disable or uninstall the plugin.

You are right ! I didn't realise it displayed it public side as well, thought it was only in ACP. I will check the settings !

I have a different plug in installed, it doesn't show it on my site anywhere other than in the ACP

 

 

I thought that IPS made this a feature in their newer releases?
