Hi, I'm trying to learn how to use blogs & I am running into an issue with RSS Feed Imports.

When I try & load  an RSS feed URL I continue to get "! That is not a valid RSS or Atom feed."

I checked with http://validator.w3.org/ for http://tia.sagepub.com/rss/current.xml & got 

Congratulations!

 This is a valid RSS feed.

 

So I am not sure why when I try & use it for a blog I keep getting an error code.

As far as I can tell I've enabled all permissions for using RSS Imports/Exports. 

I just can't find any good documentation outlaying the procedure for blogs.

So anything with an .xml is not going to work?

If I am looking at feed urls, which ones should always work?

No, RFD feeds won't work ( http://www.w3schools.com/xml/xml_rdf.asp )

so how do we add a feed then?   I have a feed URL from Mountain Cave Rescue and i'd like to add it onto site somehow   http://cro.org.uk/feed/

is that the wrong type of feed as Im getting the Not a valid URL notice too.

It's working for me. Have you used http://cro.org.uk/feed/ as the url?

OHHHH ITS JUST DONE IT!!!!!     had to refesh a couple of times then it did it ok
