Custom locations in Advertisments

Hello, 

i'd like to add custom location for the banners so they appear at the bottom of the sidebar. Just after the latest widget (Today's Birthdays in our case).

Where should i place this code in Customization > Themes > Edit HTML & CSS ?

make a custom block. That's how I would go about it

I'm afraid, custom block will not count impressions and clicks and will not allow to use few banners at the same position. 

One need to place code but i can't understand where exactly (i'm not a programmer ( ).

Core -> Front -> Global -> Sidebar for templates.

Alternatively, you could create a custom block and use the custom ad code in there as it is template code and will evaluate.

1. Thanks, Jim - custom block works. 

2. But when i insert code in a template (Core -> Front -> Global -> Sidebar for templates) the banner appears at the footer, not below the sidebar.

May be there is an exact place where i should place a code?
