More than one author on database record

Is it possible to set more than one author to a database record?

Indeed I need 2 authors for the records in a specific database.

I wouldn't think so. Do you only have a small group of potential authors? If so, you might consider setting up a field which allows multiple selection and using their names there.

The record would still show whoever submitted the record as the usual author, but your users would learn to overlook that. It's like this database in my site, where nobody would even think to look for details on who created the record; we just look at the names which appear in the field:

You can easily show additional people through setting up an additional member field for the the database. 

But the record itself will always have one main “record owner” who will be shown throughout the suite. There is no easy way around this.
