It can not, video from iphone is .mov and the player not support .mov files.

perfect thank you - i have this in an other app - sometimes you have to edit the record very often or add new parts and this would be perfect that this staff clicks/views don' get counted

Oh no what a shame.   It seems my members will have lots of problems not being able to upload from iPhones then in my gallery Not good for my my site as they will be filming their outdoes events and can't then post them up.   ??

Would it be possible that you add in ACP a video data feed that the videos which are in the database can used in custom blocks ? 
Similar to pages where it is called "Record Feed"  or the "Links Feed" in other app - there are always the data records behind - i think you use it in the same way for your blocks  

 

As well i would kindly post here in the correct support thread my request that for the "featured video block" with Nivo slider it would be also possible to use other feeds not only featured videos also for example most viewed, new, latest videos
