Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted January 30, 201510 yr Hi. I'm trying to upgrade using the automatic upgrade but it keeps telling me that the ftp credentials are incorrect. They're not. I've checked them over and over again. The only think I can think is that I have the path to the directory wrong. My forum is in a folder called 'forum' and it's in the 'public_html' directory. I assume I just write public_html/forum for the path. Is that right?KL
January 30, 201510 yr I've had the same issue for a while, so I just get them to do the install for me now.
January 30, 201510 yr The path would be related to your FTP user, log into your ftp account and look at the default path you are in, then enter the path based on that info... for example if your ftp user only has access to your forums directory, the path would be / if they have access to your public_html folder and your forums are located in a folder of "forums" then the path would be /public_html/forums
January 31, 201510 yr Author Thanks, that's what I had but it seems my hosting company are to blame. The firewall they installed has yet to be configured properly. All the best,KL
