v4 attachment process not newbie friendly

Not sure if this is the same on mobile but after uploading an attachment and clicking submit I get an error. The reason being is that you have to also click the small + sign to insert it in to post. This is fine for us regular users but I can foresee complaints by newbie users - clicking attach file and uploading the file should be the entire process without the additional click.

Great thanks for fixing that so quickly  :)

Still getting occasional issues of not being able to type in quick reply box when using an IPhone but I've reported that.

Don't believe they needed to "fix" that as you never needed to insert the attachment into the post

You did - hence the error code and bug report I've since found. Thanks for replying though ;)

I'm not sure what you are referring to, nothing was changed those, you shouldn't need to hit the add to post button, but I'm sure the devs will review your report.

Might want to double check that error to be sure that it was because of that or post your errors next time as you never needed to hit the add to post button.

At the time the only solution was to click the + and this would enable the post to go on without an error.

That said, I'm not sure of you're interest as this error has since been resolved as mentioned earlier in this thread. Time to let it go ;)

Hi @Rhett the bug seems to be back - in the bug tracker if you click "choose files" and pick your file. It comes up with an error (EX1062) when you click Save. The only way to get around this is to click the little + sign which forces the image to within your posting. Then clicking save works fine. I'll post another bug report about it, but I wanted to flag it up here to try and explain what the original concern was :)

There is an open bug report for this issue http://community.invisionpower.com/bugs.html/4-0-0/cant-add-attachment-to-bug-report-r49574/
