I am in the process of buying another copy of IPB for a forum that runs phpbb.

Just look for when 4/0 will be released so I can buy/convert and get 4.0 without doing it all over again.

We don't have an ETA, I would recommend converting now and then simply upgrading to 4.0 when it's released though.

I did the same thing with my forum, I wanted to wait for IPS 4.0 but in the end I thought I'd use 3.4.6, especially since it needs to go through beta and into stable release before I upgrade to it :)

Renewals for a license is every 6 months to get updates, so as long as IPS 4 doesn't take 6 months to come out then he'll be able to update it for free :)
