Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications Matt November 11, 2024Nov 11
Posted June 17, 201311 yr A small suggestion for additional wording to auth_text. By default it has: Thank you (member name). Your registration has been submitted. The community administrator has chosen to require validation for all email addresses. Within the next 10 minutes (usually instantly) you'll receive an email with instructions on the next step. Don't worry, it won't take long before you can post! The email has been sent to (email address) it may be an idea to add something about checking junk / spam folders too and maybe explaining the purpose of the 'Resend' link on the header. Changed text in bold: Thank you (member name). Your registration has been submitted. The community administrator has chosen to require validation for all email addresses. Within the next 10 minutes (usually instantly) you'll receive an email with instructions on the next step. If you did not appear to receive an email from us please check your Junk / Spam / trash folders too. You can also click 'Resend Validation' on the board header to request another copy if required. Don't worry, it won't take long before you can post! The email has been sent to (email address)
June 17, 201311 yr I actually changed mine and added instructions for checking your e-mail address is valid. Spam and junk folders aren't usually the problem, mistyping the e-mail address is. Good suggestion though.
December 11, 201410 yr Can you guys please point me towards where I can change this text and add the spam suggestion? Thank You,
