I've been searching the net and can't find any conclusive way to do what I'd like to do, the following things:
1) Setup a daily cpanel full backup with a cronjob.
2) Same as 1, but to then send the backup via FTP to a storage server.
I'd be happy enough with #1, but #2 would be great. Any ideas? I have next to no knowledge of coding.
this a root access vps/server?
whm already has that done nightly but no user access to restore if needed.
cpremote works well and allows full account restore (as well as just directory or database restore) from the cpanel user interface too.
I am using a dedicated disc for it but you can use ftp/offsite storage.
It's a shared server.
its not exactly what you want but it is a daily offsite (and easily restorable) that also does the database.
I use the free plan just in case along with the cpremote.
