Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
KT Walrus Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 I should be able to click on one or more Multi-Quote buttons and then when I click in the Fast Reply pane, the quotes should be inserted. I do know that if I click on Use Full Editor I will get the quoted text, but I see no reason that a little AJAX couldn't retrieve the quoted text in setting up the Fast Reply editor pane.
CheetahShrk Posted June 12, 2010 Posted June 12, 2010 It's going to be a horrid mess trying to include things like bbcode to be quoted. Otherwise ajax will have to be used to fetch raw versions of the posts and insert them. Such a waste of resources.

But it only gets called on when having multi-quoted someone and clicking the fast reply textarea. I don't see why not.
.Ian Posted June 13, 2010 Posted June 13, 2010 Would also like to see a quick quote, so clicking this on any post will put it in the quick reply box.

randrp Posted July 11, 2010 Posted July 11, 2010 Throw me in the camp of people who think this is a big deal. I recently converted my community from vB to ipB and we are really missing the ability to pass a quote into the fast reply.
Mindsphere Posted January 14, 2011 Posted January 14, 2011 I'd also love to see this feature implemented!
