I can't make this work. I've uploaded and installed the application with no errors. Maybe there's some file edit required?

All I get is IPS driver error.

There are no file edits required. The only thing you will need to do post installation is to set up your group permissions.

Are you installing it on a clean install or do you have some other mods already installed? I don't think there is a general problem as several different users have previously tested the app. It sounds like it could be specific to your setup. That being said I'll defiantely try and work with you to get you up and running. I need more info from you though, when is the IPS driver error appearing. What steps did you take during install?

When I install IP.Classifieds, IP.Board Set Up Utility reports no errors. Right after I install it, I get the following error on board index:


localhost Driver Error
There appears to be an error with the database.If you are seeing this page, it means there was a problem communicating with our database. Sometimes this error is temporary and will go away when you refresh the page. Sometimes the error will need to be fixed by an administrator before the site will become accessible again.

On board index I get that error; however, I can access topics by typing the address on the browser. I also get the error message above when I click on "Classifieds" tab. If I uninstall Classifieds, then everyhting goes back to normal.


Is there anything I can try?

Have a look in your /cache/ directory for an sql_error_date.cgi file, I'm sure the contents of that would be of great help to Andy.

With regard to your board index, it looks like the classifieds app does also come with a board index hook. If so, does it get your board index online again when disabling the hooks that come with the classified app?

Well that's what happens when you rush out an unfinished product.

forgot to add the seo_title column to the install script. Here's a new build....

we did login in forum index page, when we go to "classified" and click "add a item"

It always shows

You'll need to go in the ACP to Look & feel -> Your skin -> css -> ipb_classifieds.css and replace the contents with what I have posted above.

The CSS on my dev copy wasn't exported during the build so it is still an old CSS file thats being used from a previous test version.
