Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
PRG Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I hope not. I need to start a mod ASAP. (I'm referring to IPB 3.0 RC1, of course.)
Adriano Faria Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 Probably not. I don't remembers old version be encoded on RC1.
sparc Posted April 11, 2009 Posted April 11, 2009 I don't know if any of the RCs will be encoded. Last I heard - they wouldn't be. We have not promised an upgrade path from betas to RCs, and in fact have quite frequently stated it is very likely there *won't* be such an upgrade path. It is extremely likely that when RC1 is available, it will only allow you to upgrade from 2.3.6 or lower to RC1, and not from any 3.0 betas to RC1. We don't know for sure yet, but there have been many upgrader/installer bugs that as they get fixed can't be retroactive. Do not plan to use a beta and upgrade to an RC release. It may or may not be possible.
Drizzy Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 Bfarber said a few days ago in a post somewhere that RC1 will NOT be encoded.
bfarber Posted April 21, 2009 Posted April 21, 2009 Bfarber said a few days ago in a post somewhere that RC1 will NOT be encoded. No I didn't. :) Read the quote above your post to see what I actually said. ;)
