Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
Connor T Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 That make things confusing, at first I thought Micheal lost his dev status. Is this a feature not enabled or a mod waiting to be developed?
Brandon D Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 Where are they not in color where they should be?
Connor T Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 On 2.3.x weren't your usergroup color displayed everywhere you name was? Or I'm just confused.
Michael Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I don't think the member names ever were, it's always taken a mod to do that. The 2.3 version had it like it is now, with the group name in the appropriate color. Names are only colored in the Active Users lists in the Board, Forum, and Topic views.
Connor T Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 O I wish they were at least in Forum View. I usually skim and look for bolded or colored names to read that topic, because usually its the topic I want to read.
Quillz Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I've always wondered why user names weren't globally formatted as a stock feature. Even phpBB does that.
TrixieTang Posted February 25, 2009 Posted February 25, 2009 I've always wondered why user names weren't globally formatted as a stock feature. Even phpBB does that. phpBB is actually the only software I know of that truly does it globally by default, all the rest I've seen don't format last poster names on the board index or when viewing a forum.

This is how I think it should be done in IP.Board, as well.
