Archive posts?

Does 3.0 have a feature to archive posts to a separate database?

No, but it's a feature we talk about a lot - hopefully we'll get it in a later version :)

I am aware of that, however, I don't see the point of it on a forum or the reason why.

Well, some databases are very big and if it's trimmed down, the loading, search and among other functions would be faster.

Thanks for clearing that up. Even though it doesn't effect me, I think it's good for IPS to think of the bigger boards.

Given that the main database engine (MySQL) already have table splitting in beta, it's not that impossible right now.
