BBcode –ACP BBcode edit –the hell i’m going trough sins i move to 2.3
I have alot of player that play video from youtube,megavide,yahoo etc…
And i’m always changing bbcodes! I have more then 20k video and some times youtube for example changing the way there video works… so i need to go to my acp and change some codes in youtube coustom bbcode tag…
every thing was fine… until i upgrade my 2.1 to 2.3

in the new ipb version when you changing the bbcode in acp, instead of having the tag in his original way for example 

[youtube]3_rOCDG_btk [/youtube]

I get

So I need to edit all my 20k posts by myself!!! It’s horrible! Total catastrophe for me!

The guy from the Ticket system said there is nothing I can do… I can run About
UPDATE ibf_posts SET post=REPLACE(post, ' ', ' ' ) but I need to run this couple of times (because my board has more then 2millin post this query stuck my board for about 5min… and I need to run it at least twice), then I need to rebuild all my posts because instead of player I get just text 3_rOCDG_btk . If I knew I’ll have this problem I’ll never ever move to 2.3!

this is like a nightmare for me right now! I’m always editing my bbcodes!

Everything was perfect with 2.1 why did you change it?

I ask to fix this in the new version.

BBcodes were parsed on save in 2.3 - which is much better for resources, but does cause the problem you are describing (when you change a custom bbcode it can't be found to be unparsed).

This is fixed in 3.0

And it seems everyone else has no problems with 2.3 or 2.2. Including me...lol :rolleyes:



and I don't care, how much everybody happy about the new version :) including you. :rolleyes:

I’m judging from how stable my board was with 2.1 and 2.3.
2.1 was much stable then the new one…
