Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
peter_anderson Posted October 12, 2008 Posted October 12, 2008 Every so often this forum gives me an IPS driver error, and when I refresh, goes away. Any ideas why? It's been the third time happening today. EDIT: I also get 'your browser could not understand this request'
AndyF Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I had one yesterday evening, when I did a search but it's rare (for me) to see them on here :)
peter_anderson Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Kept getting that my browser sent a request the server didn't understand. Weird.
LeetScape Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Personally, I set a cron to repair all my database tables every 24 hours, since doing this I've had no problems at all.

LeetScape Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 This is about the IPS forum. Oh right, oops lol :) Errrm, I haven't experienced one in god knows how long, possibly weeks.
Mesmer Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 last week a couple of errors. F5 solved it. None since thursday
Martin A. Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Probably just the server that got to many requests at once.
peter_anderson Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 WTF! Why did this appear again. Mods, please delete :)
bfarber Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Looks like the mysql server went down. Temporary server issues can happen and there's only so much that can be done, especially on a Sunday afternoon when no one is in the office. ;)

Then again half an hour later.
Management Lindy Posted October 13, 2008 Management Posted October 13, 2008 Are you in the Gallery when these errors occur, per chance?
AndyF Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Are you in the Gallery when these errors occur, per chance? Mine occurred during a search of the member list. Although I have not seen one for a long time :)
peter_anderson Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 Are you in the Gallery when these errors occur, per chance? No, replying to topics. (Thats why I have made a few duplicate posts.)
LeetScape Posted October 13, 2008 Posted October 13, 2008 I wonder if we'll see these a lot in IPB3 :P lol.
Mesmer Posted October 23, 2008 Posted October 23, 2008 Just had an IPS Driver Error on this board after clicking View New Posts.
