Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt November 11, 2024
gpapa Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I bought Invision Powerboard in 11/26/07 and i ordered a db conversion from phpbb in 11/27/07.... Now is 02/19/08 and nothing is done... Renewal license is due to 05/26/08, and i havent use the board. How is this possible? I use phpbb from 2004, my board is populated with members, groups, topics... we deal with technical problems with boilers, heating equipments, and we wanna keep the history... So... do i have to wait furthermore? The board is on www.centrale-termice.ro/forums and the phpbb is on www.centrale-termice.ro/forum
AndyF Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 You would be best to open a ticket in the Client Center for assistance etc with thishttp://www.invisionpower.com/customer/index.html :)
gpapa Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Do you mean that? 98008:IP.Board Database Conversion
Lindsey_ Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Submit a brand new ticket to sales so they can sort it out for you :)
gpapa Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Ok, i submitted a new ticket... let's see now...
Management Charles Posted February 19, 2008 Management Posted February 19, 2008 In viewing your account, the only ticket I see is one submitted 25 minutes ago. There are no tickets other than that one. Someone will answer your ticket today :)
gpapa Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 Thank you Sir, thank you Lindsey_ and ΑndyF. I have waited 2 months under impression that I have done everything that's necessary...
Josh Flamel Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I believe in being patient we know some things take time. But I don't think I would have waited two months for something to be done... the folks at Invision have always been prompt and extremely courteous to me. Usually, if I haven't heard something back from them in a day or two I would have assumed it was a glitch and tried again. I think Invision has some of the best customer service around. :)
Jason L Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I responded to the ticket Charles is referencing.

I think Invision has some of the best customer service around. :) I believe the original poster ordered the conversion and was under the impression that it would take place automatically without further contact on his/her part. Unfortunately, although a conversion is purchased, a ticket / request must be submitted so that we may gather all of the necessary information, schedule a convenient time, etc. Perhaps this was overlooked, or simply not clear enough in the welcome e-mail for the purchase. In any event, it is now being sorted. :)
ICBsmurf Posted February 19, 2008 Posted February 19, 2008 I have also just opened a ticket, but not active Tickets appears. I have 3 Life-time licenses, 1 being unreasonable away I ask in a email @ billing-Team @ ClientArea stands "Standard License", but i have Lifetime-Licenses (Documents available) see Ticket #174590 and #168109
gpapa Posted February 20, 2008 Posted February 20, 2008 Everything is ok now, thank you all.
Trahis Posted March 6, 2008 Posted March 6, 2008 I also have to admit that the IP service support is really helpfull and responds really fast! Also I d like to say that they offer phpbb converters for you to download here -> http://www.invisionpower.com/community/board/convert.html Have a nice day!
