loccom Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 Hi Some members are having the following errors on very large threads. We never had this problem before the upgrade to mysql 5.0.4.5 and PHP 5.2.5Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 8388608 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 326061 bytes) in /home/*******/public_html/forums/sources/classes/class_display.php on line 345 Does anyone have any ideas what i need to change?? the server has 4 gig of memory and plent to go round. thankx
AndyF Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 You probably need to increase the memory limit in php.ini :) I "think" its under the "Resource Limits" section.
loccom Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 thanks at the mo it is set to 8M what would be a good amount for a busy board? This is a dedicated box just for 6 boards i have.
AndyF Posted January 6, 2008 Posted January 6, 2008 That`s something I do not know I`m afraid , as I have only ever had shared server environments. Hopefully someone else with a dedi will be able to advise on this, although 64 / 128 seems to spring to mind  , although its not really relevant, I run my localhost wamp at 128. I`l move your topic to "Server Management, Resources, Optimization" anyway. :)
