Since 2.2.0, attachments are placed in directories by year/month. But I have lots of files in /uploads root since previous IPB versions.

Please, explain, how to move those old files to new locations.

Even in 2.2+ , the uploaded avatars and pictures are still placed in uploads - not in any sub-folder. It is my impression that only attachments are now placed in sub-folders.

Should not this be posted at IPSBeyond?

Never mind, where it should be posted. I think, this solution is required for any big & medium forum. It takes 2-3 sec to list /uploads dir now :(

There is no tool in IPB to do this - you'd have to move the files manually and then update corresponding entries in ibf_attachments
