email (minor) bug: extended unicode characters are sent as their &

I use for the frst e in my display name a character from the extended unicode table, anyway when I receive a personal message the email notification reads as:

Pⅇter,

... has sent you a new personal message entitled ... etc...

Anyway it might be better to send out a unicode mail format instead of using the html representation...

Appears to have parsed the entity, I'm assuming how it is appearing above is not how you received it.

no it was & # 8519 ; (without the spaces) instead of the first e

I would report that to the bug tracker.

Though, as it is, emails are sent as plain text, with the username just taken directly from the database. We'd have to completley replace all these entities in all the emails. And we wouldn't want to do that for certain ones (i.e. html tags and such).

I would consider it a bug to an extent though, since the username doesn't display the same in the email as it does on the site.
