I wish one day we have a great surprise and with a new update perhaps there will be a Calendar... as what it's called now calendar I think it is mostly for achieve birthdays and a bit more...

Try to make a Bulk Mail... after created, do the following:

ACP --> System [Tab] --> Manage Scheduler --> Members [Tab] --> Send Bulk Mail

And there you should click the red button...

If it doesn't send the mail, you could try a mod for control the email per hour to send...

CleanCut will be available as a separate download in a day or two. We wanted CleanCut to get its own beta process before bundling it in download.

All those who have some translated languages need a good language manager...

But, also need a good updating for our languages with no kind of problems...

We translated the language in v3.0.0 or v3.0.1 so we didn't want to "retranslate" again or see all pages again when updating...

When updated from v 3.0.1 to v3.0.2 ALL translated strings appeared as "Out of Date Entries" so it was very, very, very difficult to find the new strings that had to be translated...

For example, "core/public_usercp" has 438 strings, and no more that 20 bits were new, but I had to pass page per page for finding the new strings and translate them and when passed and updated ALL pages then appeared "Out of Date Entries" to be 0 again...

You will say, you should access to a file for translate and use "Outdated strings" and that's what I want !!! but as all strings appears as "Out of Date Entries" then that button filters NOTHING.... :(

Please, arrange this... this is a hard work for me, instead of dedicate less than 1 hour for translating new bits when updating, I have to be near 5 hours passing page per page and translate the bits needed... and you MUST multiply that per 2 because I translate to 2 languages: spanish and catalan which doubles me the problem...

This will be a stop for updating for me, so if you can't arrange this for v3.0.3 PLEASE arrange and get ready for v3.0.4...

There is a big problem here...

If now, without this kind of special things for non english languages are difficult to use without problems, let's think how would it be done an upgrade with new own bits created...

I'm waiting for a big improvement in the Language Manager for when and upgrade is done, you can search easily for all new bits instead search manually for all the bits and dissapear the "Out of data entries" for ALL the translated bits when an update occurs... but, in which version will this be done ???.... version 4.x perhaps when english has less than of 1% of world population ??? :whistle:

A have to translate 2 languages... catalan and spanish, so only think in the hard work for me that it is every new update... and in 2 months there have been 2 and in less than a month there will be a third one, than I won't do for this reason... I don't want lose more of my time arranging silly things that it is supposed that the soft didn't do... :(

I bought CCS a pair of weeks ago and the activated in less than 15 minutes !!!

Well... I've seen you've added the documentation system in ACP... that's good! you start giving documentation...

It would be very good if you can FIX the help pane like in Excel that you can fix a number of rows, so when you go down the help pane maintains fixed... for example in ACP --> System --> System Settings --> System --> Security and Privacy is full of options and when you need help of a function of the bottom you must return to the top, and so on...

The problem of this help system, is that it will be VERY difficult to find some unknown characteristics that should be easy to find with a PDF or printable PDF...

I see you continue with the interest of everybody gets support and you will not give help to perpetual licenses without active support... I don't agree... but it's your option...

Let's go and fulfill all the help as soon as possible... :thumbsup:

May I report an issue for the record ?

You must think that some of the people who have read the post, like me, are interested in multiple languages and translating but we can't give you an answer or suggestion on this because we don't really understand the code... I'm not programmer...

At the end, it doesn't matter 3 or 2 bits of language translation when you translate more than 10.000 !

And you must think I translate everything in 2 languages, which is double work !!!.... catalan and spanish! spanish done, and now I have a 30% of catalan done... :rolleyes:

And languages I think is a great leack in IPBoard... they don't matter multilangueages very much...

When updating to v3.0.3 ALL translated bits will appear again as OUTDATED instead they make something that seems will not be possible... :(

So will be again very difficult to find NEW bits for translate...

I have read that some of the issues I have on my 3.0.2 board will be fixed in 3.0.3

Any hint as to when 3.0.3 will be released?

Or is there a way to have the individual issues fixed?

You can see the bugs that will be fixed in v3.0.3 in Tracker, select IP Board 3.0 and there you can select diferent searches...

7. Import from a calendar done using Ical or some standar format
8. Digest of the events in a daily / weekly / monthly basis
9. To be able to enter at least 5 variables for each event
10. Order by any of the 5 variables
11. Make some of these variables to be choosen from a couple of options
12. Let select the digest to only be sent for a choosen variables concordancy


And several more...

There will only be a value under that column for files that have out of date strings - you would probably want to do this for each file that you see a number in that column.

The problem is that upgrading to v3.0.2 ALL entries with a translated phrase is OUT OF DATE so I don't really know which are out of date without looking page per page...

You can find out of date phrases on a per-file basis, but not globally presently (unless I'm missing something - does happen from time to time).

as far as I know , everything new is added automatically to all languages you have simultaneously , during the upgrade.

And that's the reason I indicate it is a need to show where are the new phrases to translate...

Lifetime license holder should get the same deal as the Perpetual holders. Otherwise, it's exactly like being charged for support which is already part of the package. So, $0/year for support plus $20/year for the service. Again, having to pay $30 additional ($30 more than a Perpetual holder) is a punishment to the Lifetime holders. If anything, charge $30/year for Perpetual and Lifetime holders.

I tell you again... if you want, I can exchan one of my perpetual licenses with support included for your Lifetime license...

What I need to know in each upgrade, is ALL the changes that has been done in ALL upgrades...

What I mean is you give us a list indicating for example:

System --> public_search --> actperiod_week (first page)
System --> public_search --> actperiod_today (first page)
System --> public_search --> actperiod_month (first page)
System --> public_search --> actperiod_weeks (first page)
System --> public_search --> actperiod_year (first page)

and so on...

This would be very useful for updating our translated languages...

For the boards who use more than one language in their board...

Make different default languages depending in the forum users are...

Forum 1 --> Default language 1
Forum 2 --> Default language 2
Forum 3 --> Default language 1
Forum 4 --> Default language 3
Forum 5 --> Default language 1

and so on...

I don't know if this really is a security bug but we'll find out; this might just be a false alarm. In any event, you can add further precautions by enabling .htaccess and renaming the admin folder.

If you rename the admin folder, every time you upgrade you must return to rename as admin if you don't do this it will not work...

I think the final decission has been good for Perpetual / Lifetime holders...

We must consider this as a new add-on, and that's the end !!!

All new services will be free for standard with active support but will be treated as add-ons for Perpetual / Lifetime...

We have the option if we need to get this good service to our boards when we need them... :thumbsup:

IPS has changed their mind of business last years and has expanded to more business in Internet that years ago were impossible to think: Blogs, Gallery, Download, Spam, Subscriptions, Shoutbox, Tracker, CCS... :thumbsup:

At the beginnning I will not have spam service because I don't need it, but in less than one year I suppose I will get in 3 or 4 boards... and I owns 10 Perpetual licenses so it's not a good deal for me that decission... but I understand it and find it logical... :huh:

I'm not completely happy with the $50/year as a Lifetime license holder. From my perspective, it's like owning a Perpetual license now, because someone with a Perp license is only really paying $20/year for the service, where as I'd have to pay a whole $50. I think that the cost for the service should be the same (or nearly the same) between the two licenses.

Do you want to exchange your Lifetime for one of my Perpetual including active support ??? :whistle:

I don't think you understand the realities of this. Practically the entire internet uses ical or vcal for calendars. I know of nobody that uses Excel for calendars. Beyond that, how could you possibly make a reliable CSV calendar import - everyone would use different number of columns, different date formats, etc.

vcal/ical is a standardized format that Outlook, Gmail, and any calendar program on the internet already supports, so it would make sense for us to support this too, instead of trying to have a raw CSV import. I'm afraid you're probably better off looking for a custom modification if you are insistent on using CSV.

And for the record, ical/vcal has nothing to do with Apple. As I said, Outlook supports it. :)

The real thing is that I'm a fan and an expert of Excel, so I like to do everything with Excel... :rolleyes:

The problem is not the format... the problem is to have a mod for having a more complet calendar with more features...

If there is a mod, then I'll try users to use that format or will search a format converter... :thumbsup:
