  1. Hi Jim, as per above could this be when I update the password with 12 characters it only shows 8 dots ie inferring the password is wrong or is this just how it shows in invision?

Unfortunately, FTP access is still not valid. Credentials are incorrect.

Before giving you the green light I did ask hosting to check they could get in, and they could...

Would recommend pausing entirely as CloudFlare will still enable many other features while in development mode.

Roger that - so thats done.

Patch done and CF paused. Ill report back when I know more...👍

Furthering that its already doing the same issue by reloading the page instead of opening the profile when clicking on the hamburger. If you online and can take a look (before I cache again I guess?) that would be ace...

We can use either. Its for you to tell us on those settings which you wish for us to use

Thanks Marc. When I update the password its 12 digits long, but after saving and re checking it shows 8 'dots' ie inferring the password is 8 digits long. Is this standard or for security or..?

If thats just the way it shows up and we are all good then fine, you should be all good to get in now...🙏

We would need both. The error that you're seeing and the error in place.

If your online, its doing it right now.

On mobile if you click the hamburger icon it just refreshes the page and on desktop if your click the profile pic to drop the menu this too just refreshes the page too

Ill hold off doing the cache for 5 or so mins in the hope that you can get in and take a look...

That is correct. Has this resolved the problem for you?

Yes it does...but only momentarily. It can work again for several hours or sometimes a few days...before the same issues occur again.

    Any ideas Marc??

Are the errors in the logs the same issue as the caching issue or separate do you know Marc? Im trying to isolate and trying to nail down something to fix today, as its been a couple of weeks like this now.

This happened to me too last night.

I went to the ACP, cleared the cache, and it was fixed.

    Now it did it again.

Same thing, go to ACP, clear cache it works again.

Yes same. Mixed in with some 404 errors today. We havent yet implemented the theme change was hoping to get it done today/last night but ran out of time. Hopefully that could fix some/all of the issues

If you don't have any theme in ACP without the Customized text you can add a new default non-edited one by clicking the + Create New button top-right.

Either Easy Mode or Manual Mode will do for testing.

Thanks! Will try this now...if its goes wrong, I can always just switch it back right..how likely am I to break something beyond repair lol?!

Just make sure to give it a name like "New Default" or something so you know which one you're actually selecting!  Also make sure once it's good that you remove the old bad "IPS Defaults" and set the new one as the theme for all members.  🙂

    Gotcha, thanks Randy.

Im going in - here goes!

  8. Hey folks just wanted to circle back on this as im still getting a ton of system errors:

ArgumentCountError: Too few arguments to function IPS\Theme\Cache\class_forums_front_topics::postContainer(), 2 passed in /home/housepri/public_html/forum/system/Theme/SandboxedTemplate.php on line 61 and at least 3 expected in /home/housepri/public_html/forum/templatescache/template_3_7a734b11232065691bc1176040cb26ad_topics.php:1987

A cache clear will help in fairness but its a short term fix and the same issues keep coming back...

Could anyone tell me what to action (or more to the point as someone to action...!)

    Thanks a million!

As an example, right now, on mobile it wont let me open the hamburger (to view profile etc) all it does when I click it is refresh the page. Which as you can imagine is driving my forum member nuts

Would need to empty your template cache directory on your server. Sounds like your server had a write issue which is causing it to be out of date.

Judging by your stacktrace, that is at: /home/housepri/public_html/forum/templatescache/

I understood 'server'. That links to hosting - ive fired off a support email to my host. Thanks

It's also possible your theme is too old and needs an update. From which version did you upgrade exactly?

Not sure, it just pops up saying 'Jan update' or something like that, when im logged in as admin.
