  1. I figured it would be too much. No problem at all. If you are going to be updating the plugin anyways, I found a minor typo.

    This raffle isn' published.

    It should read: The raffle isn't published.

    I'll be sure to leave a proper rating for this amazing plugin. Great work on it. Thank you for creating it. 

  2. It would be great if the Content Count started as the Raffle started, as this would encourage members that use to be active to be active again, at least to meet the requirement set. Is there anyway to add this in a future update, or would it be too complicated. So sorry for all the questions, I don't mean to bug. I am just trying to figure things out and get the most out of your great plugin.

  3. Thank you for the quick replies. My partner who works on the forum with me had a good question regarding the 'Content Count' setting.

    For example, if I set the 'Content Count' to 5, does this mean for anyone that already has over 5 for their Content Count, automatically qualifies to enter, or does the 'Content Count' start counting once the Raffle starts. Meaning if someone already have 1,000 posts, that person would still need to make add an additional 5 counts of content between the time the raffle starts and by the time it ends?

  4. 1. Because the word "Raffle", "Raffles" is everywhere, instead of calling it a 'Giveaway', is it possible to set it as a Raffle but allow people to enter for FREE?

    2. Or, is it possible to change the word "Raffle", "Raffles", to the word "Contest"?

    3. I set up a Raffle and wanted to see if I could set the price for a ticket to $0.00, and I could. So this way I can use the word Raffle, but it is a FREE Raffle. Under the prize image on the Raffle page on the front end, it states "No Value Specified", is it possible to remove this text or even change it to show $0.00 or even put "FREE RAFFLE", or change it to anything else?

    4. When setting an amount for 'Content Count' for example 5, does this apply to only posting on the forum? Would it apply if they posted an image in the Gallery? Or maybe even created a listing in the Classifieds plugin?

  5. I finally purchased this. I want to set it up strictly for Giveaways, I have been looking through the settings, and I have no idea where to start. How do I set it up, where do I add the prize/prizes, etc. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

  6. Is it possible to set up a raffle, but not allow them to "BUY" tickets. So I can manually add their names and amount of ticets to the raffle?

    Is it possible to change all references to the word "raffle" to "contest"?

    Sorry for all the questions, but money is very tight right now, I want to make sure if I buy the plugin I will actually be able to use it the way I'd like. Unless you offer refunds if it doesn't work out for me, that would be great. Thank you.

  7. Thank you so much. My plan, is tell people that during a set time and date, whatever the amount of donation is made, I will add 1 ticket per dollar donated. I will then manually add the persons name, with the amount of tickets they've earned.

    This way they can make a donation normally, and I will use the Raffles plugin for displaying the prize(s) publicly, and showing who is in the "Contest" and how many tickets they have earned.

    Could I use the 'Giveaway' setting and still be able to do this?

  8. After reading more about the legalities of Raffles, I've ready that it is basically illegal in the US, where I am based, unless you're set up as a non-profit. Do people still use it anyway?

    Also, is it possible to use it the following way:

    Instead of selling tickets to members of the forum in order for them to be eligibe to win a prize, can we use the raffle system with the Commerce Donation sysytem. So instead of selling tickets, I can just state that for every dollar that is "Donated", they will receive 1 ticket. Then I can pick a winner from those that have donated?

    Is this way still considered illegal? I really would love to get this and integrate it on my forum. Thank you.

    By you saying this, I realized I just need to check and copy the exact info I entered on my site to get email to work. I talked to tech support and they gave me all the info I used on my site, Host, Protocol, Port, Username and Password. I entered all this in IPS, and I am still getting an error:

    IPS\Email\Outgoing\Exception: 535 5.7.0 Mailgun is not loving your login or password (535)

    I am so lost, not sure what is the issue. 

  10. I am using MailGun on my Cloudways site, and the emails I receive from contact forms, or when people create and account on my WooCommerce store are all working fine. All emails have been 100% delivered.

    So because I am using SMTP on my site, I'm assuming I need to use this with IPS. 

    Regarding the settings (as you can see in the image), I just need help on what to properly set for each field. I have tried so many variations after googling this, but only found 1 outdated post.

    I am not sure what to enter for SMTP Host, and because my site is SSL, do I add "ssl://" as it states before whatever it is I put here?
    Should I selected SSL for the SMTP Protocol setting?

    I've seen different ports to use, this I can try each one to see which one will work, as long as I know that all other settings are correct.

    In a guide I found online of setting up MailGun with ClickFunnels, he wrote "SMTP User -  This should be postmaster@yourdomain.com", is this correct?
    and SMTP password is just the password I used for my MailGun account?


    I DESPERATELY need help in configuring this, as people aren't able to register on my forum or use the Contact Us button.

  11. Thanks for the replies @bfarber @pharbor64

    I did get the issue resolved thanks to my webhost Cloudways. The issue was Varnish. Tech support set my forum folder on my server to be excluded from being used by Varnish, and after that I was able to edit css files within the Admin CP. Varnish did then cause an issue with (BIM) Chatbox+, and after I simply disabled Varnish, Chat was working again. I left it off. Seems to be causing more problems than it did help with caching on the site.


     

  12. I wanted to add some css to the 'custom.css' file of the theme I am using, and when I click on that file, or really any css file, the page refreshes and brings up the Sign In page.
     

    I've already did the following:

    • ran the support tool;
    • checking any cache methods are working;
    • reinstalled the theme as new and tried that theme


    Has anyone ever come across this issue or know of a fix? I did submit a ticket to IPS, but I was hoping to get this resolved as quickly as possible. Thanks in advance for any help.

    I purchased it, installed it and tried it. 

    I am happy to report that it worked perfectly. This plugin is a TRUE LIFESAVER!! Thank you so much for creating this. As I mentioned before my current forum software phpbb had this feature built in, would be nice to have seen it built in to IPB as well, but at least we got you to provide this incredibly useful feature for a small fee. Thanks again.

  14. I don't allow guests to post, so I can not say with 100% certainty, but I know I can change the post author *to* any member on my forum, from guest to someone registered ought to work. 

    I don't have my forum to allow guest to post either, but as I was pruning members that had 0 posts, I believe the system accidentally deleted regular members that had a varied amount of posts. So now for those posts, it simply state "Guest". I was planning on manually, with the help of the actual member, to find all the post of a certain member, after they re-register on the forum, and change those post from "Guest" to their newly registered username, which I will make them use the same name as before, so their quoted post still make sense. Thank you for your reply. Your plugin is my only hope to fix this issue.
