  1. Under each forum, there is a setting where Moderators can mark posts as the solution. I have this checked off but can't seem to find how to turn this on for moderators. My admin group sees the link under each post but moderators do not. I checked all through group settings, am I missing something? Its on, but its not showing for moderators. Its the primary user group and no secondary. Topic starters can see it as well, no issues there.
  2. Aha, that very well may have been why. Great call out and thank you. I did approve it within a minute or two. I'll have to check again with another user.
  3. I was thinking the same. I checked the user's setting and they have email enabled. They did receive a notification on the site but an email notification was not triggered for some reason.
  4. Can you use the oembed app and https://sketchfab.com/developers/oembed
  5. In 4.6.2, the release notes state - Added a new notification when content is approved Where is this and how does it work? If a member posts content that is held for moderation, how are they notified? I don't see a setting for this or emails going out. I'm using this group setting:
  6. Any word on how's he doing? This does seem to work with 4.6 but throws an error in the logs when using php 8. I reverted to 7.4 on IPS 4.6.

It looks like it’s released this morning…Hallelujah! Thank you @HeadStand

So one month has gone by since initial submission of the update to 4.6, I guess we'll wait and see through another weekend... What are the chances it gets released next week? Wait, I said that to myself three Fridays in a row already...Anyone want to share some transparency on what's holding this up?

I’m at fault for initially assuming as well. I don’t see the need (although nice) for uploading as much as “on the fly” conversion and serving to browsers that support. You can achieve this in other ways but would have been a nice feature enhancement for SEO.
  10. Have you looked at

@John T Davis are you referring to the marketplace via ACP panel? I thought you were referring to a marketplace dev dashboard or something else. In 4.5 it does come up on my end when searching "newsletters" but not "newsletter". It doesn't come up in 4.6 because its not tagged as compatible yet:

Possibly, because I’m seeing other apps and plug-ins releasing updates this week to 4.6 and general updates, so IPS is obviously approving them and not on vacation.

@Adriano FariaI'm not blaming any devs or @HeadStand, I completely understand and am blaming the overall process. I'm keeping this issue alive because its a problem. Maybe IPS needs to add more reviewers, IDK. However, 4.6 was out in June and most devs I believe could get early access to ensure their apps and plugins were ready for when 4.6 went live. If community owners are using 3rd party apps and plugins that they can't upgrade when IPS releases an official (not beta or RC version), it's a problem. 3rd party app and plugin updates IMHO should be ready not far along after official releases of the IPS suite.

3 more days and it’ll be a month since uploaded...will this be the week it gets released? Holding my breath and really starting to think about how much weight I put into third party apps and plugins. Self inflicted I guess...

What’s the latest on this? Still nothing in the marketplace. Is there something wrong that’s it’s not approved yet?

Nowadays with such a shift to mobile, I'm for the simpler minimized layout to closer mirror what we show on mobile when on desktop. Back in the day when more users where on desktop it made more sense to have an expanded user info panel within the post template, but as time moves on, simpler and faster is better IMO. However, you can probably achieve that all with a plugin or reach out to a dev for something like:
  17. Check your php error logs when this happens. I fixed my issue my checking and then notifying the plugin developer, who corrected the issue.

Has anyone updated to 4.6 with the current app? Does it work? It seems this is still not approved/updated in the marketplace.
  19. AlexWebsites replied to HeadStand's post in a topic in Marketplace
Yes this is true and a good point. I was just going by the number series but it does seem they are at 4.6.5 pretty fast. 4.6 has been out a couple of months now.

How are you doing with the update? 4.6.5.1 is out and that means we are half way through the 4.6 life cycle and no update to this app from 4.5.
  21. AlexWebsites replied to HeadStand's post in a topic in Marketplace
    Any word on this?
  22. No, but probably to "hang" the topic starter for asking. Wait....that's me!
  23. AlexWebsites replied to HeadStand's post in a topic in Marketplace
that’s crazy because IPS is already on 4.6.4. By the time they approve it we’ll be halfway through the lifecycle of 4.6…lol.
  24. Thanks for sharing, I would have thought it was much quicker.
  25. Just out of curiosity because I'm not aware, after a developer submits an update to their app or plugin in the marketplace, how long does it take for IPS to approve it and for it to be live? Is it different for plugins vs apps? New vs update? I'm following two apps which are not yet available for 4.6 but the developers stated within their support topics that they submitted them last week. I'm just trying to level set my expectations and plan for upgrading some communities.
