Yes as Adriano says, and to be more specific, I think those records should not be present in the table as they appear to be removed in the posts themselves.

Hello, I am using the Most Used Tags application which is showing me the tags used on my forum posts. Through this I have noticed that when a tag is removed from a post it is not being removed from the database table core_tags. I did a clean up manually removing a lot of tags completely in each post, so now there are quite a few tags that are no longer in any forum post but they are still showing as present in the core_tags table. Can someone tell me why the tags are not being removed from the database table? For more info we are self-hosted and the tags were removed manually by clicking the x next to the tag at the top of a post. Ok, thanks for looking Adriano, I will contact support.

None of them are archived. We used the most used tags app to find tags we didn't want and removed them from all the posts it said they were in, that's all the editing we did.

Ok, so you mean the data may be still in the table even though the tags are removed? what do you suggest? Did you manage to have a look at the database like you mentioned previously?

I went into the posts in question, edited them and deleted the unrequired tags.

Hi, We have had the same issue where an admin received an email prompt to use the Mark As Solution button on a post they were author of even though none of the forums have this enabled. I have just disabled the prompt you mentioned @Jim M, it was previously enabled, but is this not a bug that the author can still be prompted to mark as solution even when the forum they posted on hasn't got the feature enabled? We are using 4.7.6

Ok, there seems to be a lot of difficulty getting liquidweb to update it for me and they don't really seem sure about what they're doing. This comment seems to suggest if you are on CentOS7, which I am, then this is likely the issue preventing update. Is that correct?

Hi, After updating to PHP 8.0.27 I am getting this error: I have been told by my hosting provide that the extension is enabled but that the latest version available is 7.29. Is this correct? Am is missing something here, are there some certain instructions I need to tell my hosting provider? Thanks, Mike

Thanks for the reply. I just checked the background task schedule and the maximum wait for all tasks (except 1) is 1 day. I have had this problem for 48 hours now. Also, some of the tags vanish immediately in the Most Used Tags listing following deletion of all occurances - but a number at the beginning of the table do not vanish - even when all occurances of the tag are removed in the forum (e.g. if I remove 2 occurances of the tag, the listing still shows 2 tags as being present - but when I click through on those tags the related posts do not exist). Hi - great application. I have an issue which you may be able to help with. We have a site that currently uses thousands of tags (we are a genealogy site that tags all surnames used in posts). Before we release your application to our members we are deleting all "nonsense tags" that have come into the system over a number of years. However, when I delete all instances of a single tag across a number of posts - I see that the tag name still appears with a count in the most used tags page. When I click on that tag name in most used tags it comes back with not found. Is there some kind of caching at work that I can clear out? Thank you - Mike.

Ok, I see now from past posts on the forum that it was a very large issue in 4.5. Thanks for the help, we will be updating soon.

@opentype - thanks but I am running forum software 4.5.4.2 and I see no settings for just "Reactions" inside member settings>notifications

Hi there, Some of my members have been complaining recently that they are receiving emails each time someone likes a comment they made. I went into notification settings and then "mentions and my content" settings and see that I can enable for notification list/and or email notification. I cannot tell if this I enable email notification for "mentions and my content" - will a member receive an email every time they are mentioned - or does it include everytime someone likes their content or other content interactions I don't know about? Hi, I may be missing something - running version 1.6.0 on ips 4.4.5 - when I try to show bookmarks by category as a user, it shows all bookmarks no matter which category I select. Should the chosen category on the right side filter the shown posts on the left? Thanks.
