  1. Agree. It would be nice if the instructions are more clear + in the zip file there should be one file only!
  2. Yep, it would be nice to know how to change this.
  3. It works well and I'm using the same method. However, I believe that it would be nice if we can easily add an empty sidebar (hook) box where we can put the IP.Content block or any other info we need (youtube video, photo, paypal button etc.). I believe this was requested many times already.
  4. It would be nice if we can set this limit higher like 2000 or 3000 or custom number. For not too busy forums I do not believe that it will be a problem for the server load.
  5. Recently I had exactly the same problem. Digging in the documentation took some time. I tested that new search, it is awesome now. Thank you!
  6. Upgraded to board 3.1.2 + applications. No any problems. Thank you!

  7. One suggestion I have is an option to allow users to add blocks with custom content to their profiles. This could be something similar to how Blogs work. This will make personal profiles much more interesting I think. Custom content could be: youtube video, text, images, links etc. Another thing that I'm often asked by members of my community is how to change the main blue color of their user profiles. Users are very happy to change the picture background but sometimes the colors of the image they add does not fit to the blue colors (original IPB skin). Not sure if this is possible at all, but it would be nice if users can change the user profile color as well.
  8. Great improvements! Thank you! It would be really nice if I can archive all my conversations or few I select at once.
  9. Very Nice! A very good idea would be to add an option for email notification as proposed by Claudia999. It would be nice if I could get an email every time when there is a critical error that completely stops my board from operation. I do not check my forum so often but I always check my email.
  10. I'm using IPB from 7+ years and I'm very happy with the software, the staff and the community... Thank you guys and keep up the good work!
  11. I did not migrate to FURL yet. Planning to do it in the near future. Dan, thanks for the clarification!
  12. Thank you for the update! Sounds great. Will the same apply for IPB as well? How soon we can expect 2.0.1?
  13. Thanks for these improvements. I'm happy to hear that IP.Applications get more and more SEO friendly. One idea I have is for IP.Content. Currenty I have the following problem. I'm planning to migrate my article database which is ?record=xx to the new SEO friendly urls. Well, so far so good. However, I have 400+ articles and as I know there is no easy way to make all ?record=xx get redirected to the new SEO friendly URLs. Instead, google will be able to access the same content using 2 URLs which is not good at all from SEO point of view. So, there should be a way to redirect permanently all ?record=xx to the SEO friendly urls. The same applies if I decide to switch from ?showtopic=xx to SEO friendly urls. Google should not be able to reach the same board content with both URL ways .... Hopefully this makes sense...
  14. +1 I love the idea too. This will be very helpful for my community especially for IP.Content articles.
  15. Another great and useful improvement in IPS products. Thank you!
  16. Great news. Please, keep up the good work!
  17. Maybe something not so complicated but something similar to the features: [url=" suggestion. RTE image upload, resize and positioning
  18. For those interested in how to position images with BBcode, here it is a quote from another topic
  19. Great news. Keep up the good work!
  20. Random database feeds Would there be an option to generate 10 random records from the last 50 records added (and not from all)?
  21. It will be nice if we can manually assign topics to existing records as well. In my particular case some of the topics (100+) exist before records are created. Some existing records would need to attach topics to them. If I do not have this option in IP.Content 2.0, can I do it directly in the database? Would it be easy?
