I don't think they will install the BETA version of IPS4.

Of all the changes in IPS4 this topic has the most replies. I think we are doing quite good

On on that note I agree
I will be doing a small hook for this anyways as got a different thought on location for it. Another good reason for it not being default

I would put it this way: they have reworked many things under the hood which allow for better performance, and that is what they talked about. They did not say: as soon as we switch over to 4.0 you can expect a significant improvement. So no, I don’t see any contradictions at this point.

They've increased the number of hamster wheels in the server farm.

@Aussie Cable you posted this topic 10 hours ago. I hope you note things are improving quite rapidly since then.

Must admit I completely agree. However to be fair I once wrote a form with the words "Hello World" on it and that to ran 1000% quicker than IPS. In fact I would go as far as to say it was instant, and I was only an amateur in those days.

And I was the most liked non-staff member over there. On this board I'm worthless in comparison
Hoping they could do a conversion test at some point, with the forum data (only the content inside the "Welcome to IPS 4.0"-section of the forums). There is a lot of feedback I would like to bring back at some point etc.

    Hi team,
I just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone on the team for working hard to get the official IPB site running on 4.0
Looks beautiful and I can't wait for the final release.
Having a quick look around I can see that Nexus isn't here yet. Any idea when we will have access to our purchases restored?
As is I get the following error trying to access my ipmarket paid content.
Fatal error: Class name must be a valid object or a string in /var/www/html/applications/nexus/sources/Invoice/ItemsIterator.php on line 71

This is a catch-22. For years, I have been witness to exactly the opposite argument from vB users, where the option is unchecked by default.

Soniceffect reacted to Cyrem in I own 3 (three) lifetime licences, Please explain?
IP.Board has finished. Your license has been for-filled. IPS4 is a different product.

Unless your license states you get ALL future products of IP, you are not entitled to IPS4 as part of your old license.

They don't have to offer you anything! and yet they did.
