  1. Thanks, I’ll be working on photo competition this weekend so will look into that. This isn’t a bug but is a planned feature This is most likely because the item still exists in your delete queue. If you remove it from the ModCP it should no longer count towards entries. I will update this so soft deleted items don’t count towards the limit.
  2. I have released version 1.2 That now includes a choice between opt-in and opt-out. Opt-in will work as it did previously. Opt-out uses GeoIP to set the location based on the users IP. Users can override this in their profile or opt-out from their account settings. I have also added a profile completion step for those that wish to be more aggressive in prompting for the location or requiring a user to enter it before they can access the rest of the site. Looking forward to more great feedback.
  3. Do you see any errors in the browser console? Can you send me a PM with an admin login and a link to your site please and I’ll take a look.
  4. This sounds like a bug, please send me a PM with an admin login and I can look into it. Both should work together but I wouldn't advise it. Looking into the member location plugin the only thing it adds not included with connections is the ability to filter by distance on the member search form. If you need assistance converting the existing data I can do that.
  5. Thanks for the feedback everyone. I will be working on auto IP geolocation support and opt-in/opt-out settings this weekend.
  6. Please contact me if you require support converting existing data.
  7. Ah i see what you mean, thanks. I will think on this some more. Aside from the accuracy issues that could make the results less useful I’m not sure it’s sensible from a privacy point of view. It’s one thing to display this to admin users it’s another to use the data to tailor results shown to other users. It may be possible to present the info to the user and ask them to confirm if it’s correct giving them a chance to opt out but then you may as well just ask for the info. I believe making location required or otherwise adding functionality to encourage users to fill it in is a better approach.
  8. On google maps they will need to start typing the place name and it will autocomplete after 2 characters. with mapbox they can either start typing or they can click the geolocate button and it will find the nearest town/city based on their device location automatically.
  9. Not currently. But I will be adding a profile completion step very shortly that could be set as required.
  10. Users are prompted to set the location when accessing the feature or when editing their profile. If you are using mapbox they can either use an autocomplete nearest city input or a geolocate button on the map. If you’re using google maps there is an autocomplete nearest city input.
  11. The mobile app falls back into a responsive view with pages that aren’t natively supported. The experience is seamless for the end user.
  12. Yes, the mobile app and mobile browser responsive are supported. Location support and similar interests is now included.
  13. It's a core function that is also used in Photo Competition. "Post Before Register"
  14. When it’s ready 🙂. I’ve implemented geolocation on a few projects so I’m not expecting any roadblocks. Shouldn’t be long especially if we remain under weekend lockdown. I don’t have any current plans to integrate with member shop points but never say never. Maybe once I’m through my list of planned features I’ll revisit. Thanks for the suggestion in any case.
  15. This is a bug. The menu item should have been added automatically. I've fixed this and uploaded a new build of 1.0.2. If you re-download, uninstall and re-install using the new 1.0.2 file this should be fixed for you.
  16. Yeah I agree. I’m thinking this will make a good widget.
  17. I have two plans, try and compare members that follow the same items. This could be a non starter for performance reasons though so if that is the case I will fall back to the site admin being able to configure a predefined list of subjects that members can choose from. 👍 Fixed in 1.0.1 👍 I can't reproduce this. Are you not scrolling to the top of the page after selecting perhaps? That's an IPS4 thing.
  18. The single feature. It will be automatically activated once 4.5 is available. There isn't a release date announced for 4.5 yet but the latest news is in the blog
  19. Sorry, IPS land is busy busy busy right now. I've uploaded a new version (1.3.1) that should resolve this @jesuralem @emeric73 Random and newest entries widgets are on the 1.4 todo list.
  20. I'm not sure I follow. You said that users could enter before the start of the competition. What date and time did you set as the start of the competition and when were they able to enter? If you would like to send me a pm I can investigate this further without cluttering up this topic. Thanks
  21. Sorry I missed this. I don't currently have a public release date for 1.4. It's coming along nicely but there have been some good suggestions here and I would like to squeeze a few more in.
  22. Hmm interesting. Competitions are only set to running after the task has run and finds competitions with a start time earlier than the current time. How much earlier could they enter? Perhaps this was a daylight savings change issue.
  23. Yes, this is possible. The app uses the default follow functionality in Invision Community This isn't currently possible but I can look into it. Can you send me a pm with access info so I can look into this please?
