I do not know what to say. It still works on my site, and I just tested it on my new community and it worked there too.

This file was for 2.1.x.

It didn't even make it to the 3.0 series, let alone the 3.1 series lol.

I wouldn't expect any skin/mod developers to upgrade any of their stuff to a beta (opinion).

When 3.1 becomes stable at probably 3.1.1, a majority of developers will release updates.

IP.Shoutbox is an official IPS release and it's released by IPS Resources.

If its something really urgent, and they haven't responded. You can PM me and if its something simple, I might know :)

The CommunitySEO guy works full time and does that in his free time, much like Brandon works on the links system and log in modules in his free time. Both are great guys, and work when they have the time.

CommunitySEO used to be 2 admins which sped up the support and what not, but it seems they lost Dan. Either way, the application works and if you need problems with it, feel free to PM me. I've been using it for quite sometime and it works flawlessly on my install, and I'll try and troubleshoot it fast :)

Today I had received numerous emails that one of my modifications was no longer working (on my board)

I did some basic things and re-cached stuff, to no avail. I then checked my hooks folder, and to my surprise my actionOverloader was overloading some 3rd party hook , instead of public_forums_post_post.

I hadn't touched that file in like a month though (since I installed it), yet some other application managed to change it. That messed up my mod, however I just changed it back and re-uploaded it, and its still working as of now.


Any reason to why?

I've had "bad" PMs sent to other members, that someone wants to bring to my attention. Before, they could just forward it to me. Now they have to invite me to it, which just flat out shows I'm in their PM and its no longer "private"

How do you update a skin?

The only way I found out, was to just re-add the updated skin. Transfer all the users from the old one to the new one, then delete the old one. Seems like a bit too much work to me.

Am I missing a way?

I have a dark skin and a light skin. Problem is no matter if I set the reCAPTCHA theme to normal or chrome, it looks utterly crap in one of the skins.

Is it an easy fix to assign a recaptcha theme to a skin? Or is that something that would require a rework of some core code?

When I upgraded to 3.0.3 I noticed a horrible change in loading times. I tried a couple of tickets, but nothing got resolved. The staff just kept telling me to disable all my hooks and add-ons till it was the stock software.

Now after upgrading to 3.0.4, the loading times are amazing. In what I tried to tell them in tons of tickets was right. It was IPB 3.0.3 that caused the problems, because 3.0.4 made my board speed up incredibly.

You don't have as much control over the board then to do file edits or anything. Are you allowed to edit the HTML of the skins in your version?

Go to Client Area and add them. They can do everything, but download the product. (I think)

When I want to PM someone, I usually click their name or visit their profile page. Upon visiting either one I click the little PM icon, in which pops up the quick PM. In almost every case I'm sending a member a PM to include something he/she ordered, which requires a PM attachment upload.

However, the quick PM has no way to upload or go to the full editor. So I must then remember their username, go to the Messenger, compose a new message, type it out.

Is it too difficult to add a simple "Go Advance", "Use Full Editor" or something along those lines in the quick PM pop up, that can send the current data in the textbox, or skip it into the main large PM editor box.

I think your being ignorant and not reading the replies that everyone has given, including the Staff themselves.

Sorry you feel that way man. With over thousands of clients imagine the amount of tickets they get.

They get to them as they finish others. They don't intentionally wait 24 hours then respond to your ticket.

Either way regardless of why hooks have to be re-installed, I do have more problems per upgrade then I did before I upgraded. That cannot be denied. It takes me a few bug reports and manual fixes and a couple tickets to get my board back to normal shape.

Thats what my hook does :)

Every time someone makes a post it updates their IP based on their current IP. Which is an extra query, but it keeps my table updated and allows that auth system to work.

You should strive to achieve as much documentation as Wordpress. They have tons of articles about everything.
