1. It makes no difference. Codebox does not have a max height anymore.

Still, that was one huge log.

Why doesn't it have a max height height anymore?

Set it to a page or two, maximum, so people who want to actually READ that log can scroll it, but don't force *everyone* to scroll a dozen pages. :D

  2. When it will appear for collecting RC2? I apologize for my english.

IPS cannot or will not say yet. When it's ready to release, they will release it.

But it should be only a matter of days, since the Forum here is now running RC2.
  3. If you have phpMyAdmin, I assume you also have cPanel or its equivalent? If so, backup through cPanel's "Backup" section.

And are you restoring the entire database?

If so, go to phpMyAdmin and DROP all the tables first, then Import your backup. (IMPORTANT: This assumes you backed up the Table Names with the data in the first place. cPanel's method does.)

There's a size limit for a restore from within phpMyAdmin, too, but I don't remember what it is. Someone else should know.

If you're over that limit and don't have SSH or cPanel, I'm not sure how you'd it.

  4. Definitely a +1 on this idea.

While the permissions checker is a good tool, it could be improved greatly with just one change:

Right now, all it tells you is that the permissions are "high enough", or "not high enough".

Much better would be an addition to tell you what they actually should *BE*, especially on servers that don't use PHPsuexec (where almost everything can be 755/644).

e.g. If 755 permissions are all that's required, and the directory is presently 777, have that be flagged green as before, but with (755) shown as a suggestion next to it. If it's 755, but actually needs 777, flag it red as before with (755) shown.

Same with files, and minimums. I use 444 for a couple things, 644 for others, some at 777, etc.

  5. You have to have an active support contract (i.e be a member of the +Active Customers group) to have access to the Beta.
I am unaware of any exceptions to this rule, but for the definitive answer you should file a Support ticket in your client area.
Someone from Staff may answer here.

  6. If you have SSH access to the server, you can accomplish this from the command-line as well, can't you?

If NOT, just ignore what follows. ;)

But if YES, this might help. (This works for me, on my Reseller host, but may not work for your situation.)

Assuming you have gunzip installed, the syntax would be *something* like this (varies with OS and other programs):

gunzip ipb.sql.gz ; mysql -u (account-name_database-user-name) -p (account-name_database-name) < ipb.sql <- NOTE: replace (account-name_database-user-name) with the full prefixed name of your chosen database's user name, and replace (account-name_database-name) with the full prefixed name of your chosen database.

Or is your file *SO* large that it would cause this timeout issue even so?? (I just don't know.)

  7. I like the looks of both!

Although, for older folks with fading eyesight (i.e me), the one on the right needs a bit brighter text, about the same contrast as the left-hand one. I have to squint slightly to see it clearly.

Those, as they are, would be perfectly satisfactory to me on the new version.

    RV
