sigman229 Posted November 25 Posted November 25 When adding a new user group it does not allow the group to use messenger. All members that are in that group see this on their profile page.. "This member is in a group that is not allowed to use the messenger" see image below How can I allow the group to have messenger privileges? Thanks bob
Jim M Posted November 25 Posted November 25 You can see this in ACP -> Members -> Groups -> edit the group in question -> Social tab -> Messages. Ensure they have access to messages.
sigman229 Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 Thanks for the reply.. but... that is the problem.. under Social tab there is no option for messages in the new Group I created.. I have a screen shot but there is no way to send it in this message. Lets try it this way.. Under the Social tab there should be options for: Profiles Messages Reactions Status Updates BUT The only option that shows is: Reactions So that is want I need to figure out and fix.. Why don't the other options show and how do I make them show..? thanks
Daniel F Posted November 25 Posted November 25 It sounds like you disabled this in the module permissions https://invisioncommunity.com/4guides/security-and-rules/member-permissions-r305/#perm_modules
sigman229 Posted November 25 Author Posted November 25 OK, I am looking in System -> Site Features -> Applications but there is no Messages Application showing. Can't change it if I can't see it..?
