Jean-Francois Mach_532258 Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 Hello, I am trying to upgrade to 4.7.6. I switched from PHP 7 to PHP 8, but all I get when attempting to upgrade are 500 errors. I used the checker and it says I'm ready to go: http://www.goosecreekbend.org/ips4.php But... Everything else fails: http://www.goosecreekbend.org/ http://www.goosecreekbend.org/admin/ http://www.goosecreekbend.org/admin/upgrade/ I am not sure where to go from there. I don't see anything in the error log. Thank you!
Marc Posted January 11, 2023 Posted January 11, 2023 I would suggest checking in your server error logs to see what the actual error is first of all, as this may give a clue as to where the issue is. Failing that, we would need to look further into this for you, however the access details on file appear to be incorrect or missing. Could you please update these details by visiting your client area, selecting the relevant purchase, then clicking "Review/Update Access Information" under the "Stored Access Information" section. We look forward to further assisting you.
Jean-Francois Mach_532258 Posted January 11, 2023 Author Posted January 11, 2023 Marc, thank you for your answer. I can't find error logs for these 500 errors and asked for help from my hosting provider on this front. I updated the Stored Access Information, you should have access now. Thank you!
Solution Jim M Posted January 11, 2023 Solution Posted January 11, 2023 You have both a .htaccess and user.ini with the same details. You may wish to consolidate this into 1. Ask your hosting provider if you are unsure. The error being displayed here is from your server and it is not making it far enough for our software's error logging to obtain what is happening. Unfortunately, looking at the few basic items which may cause a 500 Internal Server Error, I am not seeing anything evident. In order to further troubleshoot this issue, we really need the Server Error log entry for this error.
Jean-Francois Mach_532258 Posted January 24, 2023 Author Posted January 24, 2023 @Jim M, I could not get my hosting provider to point me to the error logs, but I tried your suggestion (actually removed both files entirely) and am able to perform the upgrade (running right now), Thank you so much! - Jeff
