Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
David N. Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 In notifications about a new post in a topic one follows, there's a sample of the text from the new post. Is there a way to remove that sample? Unfortunately a lot of users think that the notification email is the answer to their question and they continue the discussion by responding (by email) to the notification email, instead of clicking the "Go to Post" button and posting in the forum.
teraßyte Posted September 19, 2022 Posted September 19, 2022 There is a setting to truncate the text so they have to visit the site to read the full reply, but there's no setting to completely remove it. You could edit the email template to remove the text, but it might impact other notifications/areas as well. David N. and Marc 2
David N. Posted September 20, 2022 Author Posted September 20, 2022 Thank you. Unfortunately it is already set to truncate it but users reply to the email instead of clicking "Go to Post" so that's not a solution for me. Where can I edit the email template?
Marc Posted September 20, 2022 Posted September 20, 2022 If you take a look at the following guide, this shows how email templates are built up, and how you can edit them to your liking Nigel Moore and David N. 2
