Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Prank Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Hi Guys, The upgrade to 8.0 is almost done. The site loads and runs fine. BUT I can't do anything in the admincp, I get fatal errors. The issue is the cached plugin file "template_0_77e511f3f597b974567a95c3a1860bbf_plugins.php" - it is throwing an exception; "PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Unparenthesized `a ? b : c ? d : e` is not supported" I thought I disabled all the non 8.0 supporting plugins and apps, but I guess not. I went through the DB to disable all the plugins. I left the applications because the update to 4.7.2 that I only did this morning already disabled all non 8.0 applications. I then deleted the contents of the cache tables (I made backups of each). I don't know what I can do now as I can't get into the cp to clear the caches or check status. Would love any help. Thanks, Christian
Randy Calvert Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 Use recovery mode to disable all plugins etc. That should help get you back in the ACP.
Prank Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Thanks Randy, but Recovery mode just made the whole site start throwing 500's while still not loading the admincp.
Prank Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Yeah I've lost it all now. 500's being thrown everywhere. It could be that they were being thrown before though, I only just disabled my Cloudflare cache. I've updated my access info with working details.
Prank Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Rolled back to 7.4. Just not able to get any traction with troubleshooting 8.0 Unfortunately the AdminCP still does not load. I'd still like some help if possible.
Prank Posted September 15, 2022 Author Posted September 15, 2022 Argh!! I think my whole problem was that redis wasn't clearing on restart!! I had to run the cli followed by the commands FLUSHALL & FLUSHDB. 7.4 working fine. I'll try 8.0 again tomorrow with the flushing of redis. 🤦♂️
Marc Posted September 15, 2022 Posted September 15, 2022 If you do then still have problems, please let us know. You would also need to check your server error logs if you are getting internal server errors. That will tell you where the issue is from. Its very likely your issues is on a 3rd party app somewhere, and that should give you an indication
