Is there a way to default search bars to "everywhere"?

Currently search defalts to whatever application you are using...

Example on my home page the search defaults to "pages".  On forums the search defaults to "topics" and on Downloads the search defaults to "files". 

Is there a way to have all search default to "everywhere"?

There is not at this time. It defaults to the application you're currently viewing. This would require customization at this point in time or posting in our official Feature Suggestion forum for further evaluation for a future release.

I'd love the ability to change this. 99.9999% of my community members have no clue there is even different applications to search. They will search from wherever they are on the site, and the results they receive will be, what they believe, are definitive. However, they could be far less than definitive.
