we cant read or create   messages anymore

i updated the site themes also but  i have this messages "[[Template friends/front/widgets/peopleYouMayKnow is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]]

If you are not running the latest version of the app then upgrade.
If you are running the latest version of the app, then report the issue to the developer

Evidently, which is why I commented.

Check if it's up to date, and if it still has an issue then let the developer know.

What Nathan is trying to point out there, is the issue is with that product. If you already have the latest release, you need to contact the author as that is what is causing you issues, unfortunately.
