Tommaso Esposito
Hi, I have a self hosted forum and I am changing the domain name. I know to change the global folder in the database to point to the new domain and to clear system cache in the ACP. It is going to be on the same server so is there anything else I have to do? Do I have to put the license key to the new URL? If so, will that mess anything up when the forum is unlicensed for a few minutes?
Randy Calvert
You should just need to edit your conf_global.php file and then rebuild the system cache in the ACP support area. As you noted… you’ll also need to update your license, but that will not break your site in any way. It will just mean you can’t use marketplace or use the spam service while it’s pending.
