Sonya* Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 I am building a small dictionary/vocabulary/wiki database in Pages and would like to use word expansion to link to the entries. Unfortunately, I cannot prevent linking the word in the database record itself. It is shown linked to itself that does not make sense. It would be very helpful to suppress linking the word to the page if we are already on the page. OptimusBain and Claudia999 2
DawPi Posted March 16, 2022 Posted March 16, 2022 My mod can do that: Just FYI (and others). 😉 Sonya* 1

Not linking to itself is the that tiny missing part that prevents us to create wikis, dictionaries and even more with Pages and integrate them in the whole suite just out of the box. 😊 Edited March 16, 2022 by Sonya* OptimusBain and DawPi 1 1
Claudia999 Posted March 17, 2022 Posted March 17, 2022 I've had this app: I would rather do it with Pages.
Claudia999 Posted April 26, 2022 Posted April 26, 2022 @Sonya* Did you find a solution and when your plugin will be available? 😉
Sonya* Posted May 8, 2022 Author Posted May 8, 2022 Not yet. I am still somewhere in between Custom Links by @DawPi not reinventing the wheel and a plugin preventing linking itself. I tend to write my plugin though. DawPi 1

Sonya* Posted May 8, 2022 Author Posted May 8, 2022 (edited) @DawPi, your app is almost perfect. However, I am missing content fields in Pages. I see custom links perfectly parsed in forum posts, calendar events, comments, and reviews in Pages. But the content field (article body) is not respected. This is critical for me. 😞 Edited May 8, 2022 by Sonya*
