Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Lindor Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Hi team, When I create a new forum or update any existing my browser offers in the name field the user/password info and it is so easy by mouse or enter to accept the content. Can you change for upcoming updates the field type to not show this auto settings? Thanks a lot.
Marc Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 That will be being done by your browser. Its probably picking up the "name" in the fieldname
Lindor Posted February 21, 2022 Author Posted February 21, 2022 I don't understant @Marc Stridgen, when I create a new topic in frontend I've the "name" in the fieldname too and chrome not show any password recomendation or editing calendar name for example. Only applies in the forum name. It is some in chrome settings?
Jim M Posted February 21, 2022 Posted February 21, 2022 Yes, what you are seeing is a browser feature which remembers your passwords and then when it recognizes something similar in the background HTML for the name of the form, it will populate it. This can happen with any form really, we are not specifically telling your browser to do it. Your browser is simply going "They have done this in the past for a similarly named form field, let me ask them if they want to do it again."
