How to make Facebook link with a pic from the thread

It used to be when you made a post on your forums and then posted it on Facebook, it would show the first picture in the thread - along with the title.

NOW when I try to do that, it will originally show this:

 

Okay, so that's before I post it on FB. That looks how I want it to look.

But when you post it, it turns in to this - a pic of my logo - and that isn't going to get any traction:

 

 

I've reached out to customer service (lol) and they said it cannot be done. They said to go to APPEARANCE/THEMES, and said that the only thing that can be displayed is the DEFAULT SHARE IMAGE.

This is a MAJOR issue while trying to get traffic to the forums.

A plugin? After I buy it, what do I do?

if you purchase a 3rd party item, you should be able to install from the marketplace in your admin CP. You can read about how 3rd party items work in the following guide

Its showing as compatible with 4.6. If you open that file, you can see what its compatible with on the right
