superaven Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 Hello, Seems someone spammed the heck out of my Support Requests (IPB Commerce). Is there a way to simply wipe out all requests by a certain user or perhaps certain email? Can't seem to find anything obvious and nothing on this topic came up when I searched the forum. Thank you!
superaven Posted September 15, 2020 Author Posted September 15, 2020 Still can't seem to figure out a solution short of running a MySQL query. Anyone happen to know if this is possible?
CoffeeCake Posted September 15, 2020 Posted September 15, 2020 You can create a filter based on the criteria your spammed requests meet, and then use the box on the right hand side to "select all." Then hit the trash can in the popup action item.

Is there a way to truly select all?
CoffeeCake Posted September 26, 2020 Posted September 26, 2020 The absolute nonsense of selections not happening across pages of items is such a UI blunder. I will sign your petition.
superaven Posted September 30, 2020 Author Posted September 30, 2020 Yeah, I'll vote for selections spanning across pages as well, but does anyone have any solution to this? Hate to say it, but really starting to get bummed out on this software.
bfarber Posted October 1, 2020 Posted October 1, 2020 As noted in the linked topic, they should work but it sounds like the UI just isn't updating to reflect this. We have an open report on the issue and will look into it for an upcoming update.
superaven Posted February 9, 2021 Author Posted February 9, 2021 Looping back to this topic since there's been a couple updates... I'm running the current forum software ands still same issue. I have about 645 pages of straight spam and am stuck deleting them 25 at a time. Any solutions?
CoffeeCake Posted February 9, 2021 Posted February 9, 2021 It's still as absurd as it appears. @Jordan Invision, is this on the list? 25 per page of the same content type has no excuse. superaven 1

Anything? Hate to say it, but almost ready to move on to another forum system. The support desk is an important part of how we use this forum and why we paid for the commerce part of it. Its become essentially useless because we have hundreds of pages of spam we can't get rid of.
CoffeeCake Posted February 11, 2021 Posted February 11, 2021 As far as I can tell, this remains an issue in 4.5.4.2 + all security and patch updates as of now. Not only does it impact Support requests, but seemingly anything other than the individual posts within a single thread. If you had 100 spam threads in a given forum, you'd encounter the same issue. superaven 1
superaven Posted February 12, 2021 Author Posted February 12, 2021 Any Invision staff looking at this thread?
bfarber Posted February 12, 2021 Posted February 12, 2021 Typically you can mass-delete things across pages. This behavior may not exist within support requests, but the reality is most support systems don't have pages of content they intend to delete so it's likely the suggestion has simply never come up before. I would recommend cross-posting in the feedback forum if you'd like to see this behavior implemented. There may even already be a suggestion topic there you can add your voice to.
