Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Jordan Miller Posted May 22, 2020 Posted May 22, 2020 Hey team, I'm trying to set up Facebook promotion in the admin panel in my forum. I run into this error when trying to link my account: Quote Invalid Scopes: manage_pages, publish_pages, publish_to_groups. This message is only shown to developers. Users of your app will ignore these permissions if present. Please read the documentation for valid permissions at: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/facebook-login/permissions I'm not sure what to even do next or how to fix. Anyone have any ideas? I'd be greatly appreciative!
Jordan Miller Posted June 15, 2020 Author Posted June 15, 2020 Just wanted to follow up. Been going nuts trying to get this to work. Anyone figure it out yet?

I tried and tried and eventually gave up too. I do wish there was an updated guide for this. Last time I checked, it was outdated.

I even had to ask if I was speaking to a human or a bot 😂 I am going to make this a priority. If we can more easily share FB content that would be huge. SC36DC 1

Not sure if that answers anything. TBH this entire thing feels overly complicated lol.

Two heads are better than one.

Andy (FTF) Posted February 15, 2021 Posted February 15, 2021 Did this get sorted? Having same problems. Invision instructions seem outdated now to what FB permissions within app show.
kotaco Posted March 2, 2021 Posted March 2, 2021 The API has been updated so that the guide is no longer accurate. Quote On May 5, 2020, we released six new Page permissions to replace the manage_pages and publish_pages permissions. Please visit our V7.0 Blog post, Graph API Changelog, and Pages API Overview for more information.
