Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Jordan Miller Posted March 7, 2020 Posted March 7, 2020 (edited) Hi there. It appears background processes are stuck according to the stats in my admin panel. There are certain threads that have 10 comments, but the homepage says there are 5 comments. Example: https://www.breatheheavy.com/exhale/index.php?/topic/773289-fans-are-worried-about-post-malone-after-he-exhibited-bizarre-behavior-mid-concert/ That thread has 10 comments, but the homepage says 5. I think cause the background processes are stuck. Any idea how to fix this? BTW, I tried to manually run the batch and it returned an error. Edited March 7, 2020 by breatheheavy
bfarber Posted March 9, 2020 Posted March 9, 2020 And the error it returned was....? You may wish to use the support tool in the AdminCP to see if disabling all third party plugins and applications allows the task to complete, and/or to submit a ticket at the end if you are still experiencing problems.
OhSoRy Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 Has there been any resolution on this? I actually submitted a ticket about this for my own site a while back and didn't receive any feedback.
Marc Posted November 2, 2021 Posted November 2, 2021 There appears to be no ticket relating to background processes on your account here. Issues with background processes will likely be related to your own site, so there wouldn't be anything which is a general response. The only thing we can really state would be that if you do not have the traffic to run tasks, you would need to ensure you have a cron job set up. Also, disable any 3rd party items to check those are not causing problems.
