Invision Community 4: SEO, prepare for v5 and dormant account notifications By Matt Monday at 02:04 PM
Giray Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 When you delete an image from an album, shouldn't the corresponding file be trashed from the disk? I deleted an image over an hour ago and it's still there. I thought there might be a cron...?? Thoughts? Thanks!
opentype Posted September 23, 2019 Posted September 23, 2019 Yes, orphaned files are deleted by tasks but that is delayed intentionally.
Giray Posted September 23, 2019 Author Posted September 23, 2019 Thanks @opentype. Here's hoping I didn't break anything. Got tired of waiting and deleted two files in cPanel. Hopefully when the cron runs and does not find the file, it won't freak out.
Joel R Posted September 24, 2019 Posted September 24, 2019 This a feature of your suite called 'Delayed Delete,' which allows you to temporarily store the files before permanent deletion. This allows you to retrieve the file in case of accidental deletion (like a trash bin on your PC).
Giray Posted September 24, 2019 Author Posted September 24, 2019 Duh. @Joel R, thank you so much. Got it.
