Vanilla conversion - no comments imported

Hey everyone

I have been trying to convert a vanilla forums to Invision using the Conversion tool.
The conversion process seems to go fine, with the progress bar showing what it is supposedly importing and I receive no messages to suggest there is a problem.

All the members, forums, topics and first posts have been converted correctly - but absolutely none of the 100,000+ comments have been converted.

I have looked in:

applications/convert/sources/Software/Forums/Vanilla.php

and found the function convertForumsPosts2() which looks like it is responsible for the conversion of vanilla comments to invision posts but I can not see any errors or obvious mistakes that may be preventing the conversion.

I have tried to convert a vanilla 2.3 and 2.8 (i know it is not officially supported) with the same results - everything is fine except for no comments.

Any ideas of what is going on and how to fix it?

Please submit a ticket in the Client Area for the dev team to look at the converter.
